Open military escalation between Iran and the United States
Iran attacked Thursday American bases in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates with missiles and drones, in response to American strikes that killed 18 according to Iranian press, including four at a wedding in Kuhestak. Iran also targeted a Saudi tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, killing two Philippine sailors, and warned the United States against any Israeli offensive in southern Lebanon.
